When ClimateWorks wanted to unveil an ambitious new initiative that brings together some of the nation’s biggest industrial companies to find pathways to decarbonisation, it turned to Fireside to help manage a complex stakeholder environment and support what became a highly successful public announcement.

Fireside’s job was to ensure a smooth unveiling of the Australian Industry Energy Transitions Initiative, including liaising with the communications teams from participating companies and the Australian Renewable Energy Agency (ARENA), which part funded the program.

Fireside developed key messaging and materials, and co-ordinated approvals between ClimateWorks participants, and ARENA. The result was a highly successful launch, which received extensive and positive media coverage, including placement on the front page of The Age, and prominent articles in the Financial Review and The Australian and on Radio National’s Breakfast program.

Fireside also shaped social media content that was used by ClimateWorks and distributed to participants for their own promotion of the program.
