Australia is home to the world’s oldest learning systems: educational frameworks developed by First Nations people over 65,000 years. Despite this, Indigenous children today are required to be taught according to the Western system. The result? Lower learning outcomes for First Nations children, and increased disconnection from their Country, kinship, culture and language.

Children’s Ground, a First Nations-led organisation, has made it its mission to change this. But to succeed, they'd first need to produce an impactful report – one that would convince the government to overhaul how First Nations children are educated. Which is where we came in.
