How we do it

We believe how we work matters just as much as what we deliver. Because good work requires a good process.

Fireside is a diagram-free zone

Someone once told us we needed a 'Fireside Hexagon' to make clients feel like we knew what we were doing – one of those deceptively simple frameworks that promises to turn messy problems into tidy processes. But in our experience, every project is unique, and geometry is rarely the answer.

Here's our promise: we’ll dispense with the jargon and esoteric flow charts. We’ll listen like your success depends on it (because it almost always does). We’ll translate complexity without dumbing it down. And we’ll bring just enough fun to make the process feel good.

Your co-conspirators

We’re a partner and collaborator, not a comms vending machine. So however you like to work, that’s how we’ll do it. Sometimes that means holding your hand. Other times it means giving you the tools and stepping back – equipping you to tackle things yourself without slowing you down.

Substance over slop

Now that anyone can generate content with a click, real human connection has become a premium product.

So let’s address the algorithm in the room: we use AI to make our work even better, not do it for us. And always within clear guardrails.

The kind of connection we generate? You can’t fake it.

Most comms agencies have a comfort zone. We don’t.

That's why we've made government department heads read Nick Cave's newsletter, embedded ourselves in a festival drug-testing booth to create authentic harm reduction content, convinced clients to scrap expensive reports they didn’t actually need, and yes, even sent our Managing Director on an ayahuasca journey in the name of good journalism.

We’ve done workshops in forests, produced podcasts and magazines, spoken at SXSW, and turned serious brainstorms into Play-Doh sculpture sessions. Not because we’re trying to be different, but because sometimes the best solutions live outside the boardroom.

“Love your work Ellie, Louise and Ben. The partnership with Fireside was a game-changer for PYMHWS. Thanks for delivering incredible products and being all-around great humans."

– Gemma Cooper, Project Director Transformation

A comms superteam in your pocket

The best client feedback? “You saw us better than we saw ourselves.” Our job is to transform complex, jargon-heavy content into simple stories that resonate. To become an extension of your own team. To dive into your world – in a way other agencies don’t.
