We knew we wouldn’t have long to make an impact – just three hours, start to finish – so we used every trick in the (Fireside) book. We dissected Taylor Swift lyrics and discussed the importance of being Obi-Wan Kenobi over Luke Skywalker (along with a few more practical narrative-building frameworks) to teach the ins and outs of impactful storytelling.

From there, we worked as a group to craft personal and professional narratives for each of Uniting Vic.Tas’s 12 executive team members. We used what we’d learned in the previous lessons to ensure their stories were authentic and powerful. We then went home and polished them, ensuring the narrative beats hit hard, benefiting both the specific service areas and the organization as a whole with impact and flair.

By the end of the project, all twelve senior leaders were equipped with the clarity and confidence they needed to advocate for their service areas and the organisation as a whole, ready to champion their cause with conviction.
